I don't think they are or can making hurricanes but I won't Wright off the ability to direct them make then stronger. I don't remember the name exactly maybe it was hart or harp system? maybe that's close maybe not but it was a bunch of things that looked like that old satellite dishes that put out micro waves . large fields of those can heat up the atmosphere and influence high and low pressure systems and the jet stream. Now I read up on this well over a decade ago when I was trying to prove a conspiracy nut at work wrong so it's been a long time ago and I'm fuzzy on the details. But it was not new and was able to be done. I had to eat some crow on that one. Infact had to a lot trying to prove that guy wrong. It really did open my eyes to how much conspiracy theory crazy stuff was in fact real and true.

You're thinking of HAARP that is run by the University of Alaska. It is, and has been involved in research into harnessing the energy in the aurora. It is so secret that you can take guided tours of the facility.

I never said it's a secret just that microwaves can be used to heat up the atmosphere and cause high and low pressure systems that influence the jet stream and can alter weather patterns. like I said it's Ben a long time since I read up on it. probably 08 comes to think about it. business was slow at work and I was board and had time to try to shut the conspiracy nut in the department down. Well turned out fluoride in water is actually bad for you. The weather can be influenced and the moon is really made out of cheese!

I don't think there is enough local energy available to man that could heat up the ionosphere intentionally. The project was initially begun in an effort to see if it was possible to use the energy in the aurora to facilitate both classified communications and surveillance around the globe. When the Air Force gave up on that the array was still used to see if energy can be pulled out of the aurora.

Remember.....the energy that was being put out through the array had to be generated first by fossil fuels at a site fairly close to the array. That would be the limiting factor. Never would be sufficient to affect the weather or the jet stream. If it was they'd still be doing it

Great points on the power requirements. I know nothing about the amount of power needed or what it takes to generate microwaves. Only looked enough to see there was a program working in it then got distracted and moved on to something else. I have a short attention span especially when it is not something I'm interested in. My primary interests was getting the tin foil nut to quit so probably moved on to something else to disprove he would talk about.

Chancey I see it the same way. Never understood praying to saints or Marry. Especially not confession. Only one man ever walked the earth that can forgive my sins and its not the man behind the screen.
