Is that a feasible idea? Am I genius?

Maybe the springs wouldn’t function properly, but they’d probably last forever.

They are made to slide. I think they would still work if you keep it out of the trigger area but extra friction would possibly slow them down oer cause other unforseen issues.

Honestly. I have some I have never painted or died that are 20 years old have a coat of rust and work fine. I don't think you will gain anything and could create problems.

Itd work. Itd be thick heavy and hard to clean I think. Not sure what you are trying to gain. Last forever? A 330 without line x lasts a pretty long time right?

Talk to NO-BS lures. I think they can hook you up with their coating

I would powder coat before I did a polyurea coating, that stuff is too thick.

Rust is likely to creep under the Line-X and the powder coat and never dry out. Probably end up with hollow coating with no steel left inside over time.

It would probably work but those would be some slow 330's. You want your "rails" on each side of that 330 slick as glass so the springs glide easy and the trap fires fast. That extra 10 milliseconds it would take to fire makes a big difference on otter

Gotta live up to the nickname...
