Just more proof Brook trout fishing in the Adirondack lakes and ponds is improving. I have fished remote ponds in the Adks for over 35 years and the Brook trout fishery is way better today than when I started. All the doom and gloom climate alarmists stating the Brook trout in the Adks are in decline ,are wrong.
Cleaning up emissions from mid western coal burning power plants , reducing acid rain, and closing both USAF bases in Plattsburgh, NY and griffas afb in Rome, NY, all have helped restore the ADK Brook trout fishery. No more B-52’s dumping fuel over tug hill and the Adks..

Have seen a lot of nice brook trout, but never one that size. Wow!
Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

Caught on a lake clear wabbler trailing a worm, classic trolling technique in Adirondack lakes and ponds. Yes most likely a stocked fish, but 3” - 4” when stocked, but still a Adirondack Heritage Strain of Brook Trout. Either , Horn Lake, Little Tupper Lake or Windfall Lake Strain. These strains of Brook trout have been in the Adirondacks since the glaciers retreated .
St Regis Wilderness Canoe Area of the Adks.. About 50 lakes and ponds there, I have a good idea which lake, but like most ADK Brook trout anglers that is classified info. LOL
