Yes, Blue-wings are an early season duck usually only get a week or so before they migrate out.
Green wings are mid to late season duck here, drakes aren’t usually colored out till towards the end of season.

I've never shot a green wing Drake with that much color. They are a beautiful bird when colored out!

Great pictures! I remember back in the 80’s before they did away with the point system for ducks. Bluebills were 10 points on a hundred point limit. Man the fun we had on the Mississippi with the divers over several hundred Bleach bottles for decoys.

It’s one of the best pics I have of her, usually when I pull the camera out she starts pouting cause she knows we are done hunting.
