I have an average sized hand for 15 year old. If anything my hand is on the smaller side. My hypothesis is that it's an ermine. Do y'all think it's an ermine? My mom has a little shed she makes necklaces and stuff in, and there's always mice in it so I always have a mouse trap or two in there. Today I went out and the traps were moved, and there were little mouse bones, fur and little pieces of flesh scattered around the traps. I was thinking maybe a weasel got in there and ate them

No, I do not think it is Ermine.

With the back feet showing tracks, and the elongated hind foot, I say it is a squirrel track and a small one at that. Small Red squirrel is my guess.

The scraps and such, that sounds like weasel, but the tracks do not look like Ermine.

Ermine's gate has the back feet into the front tracks, two into two, like a tiny Marten. Their back feet are not shaped like a squirrels back foot.

Set some traps and let us know what you catch!

Maybe an Ermine ate the mice and made the mess and a squirrel ran past in the snow. That would make sense of what you said above.

My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!

Squirrels are known to eat baby birds. Wouldn't be surprised if they raided a mouse trap for some easy protein.

Could also be a flying squirrel. I've had reds and flyers both eat other catches in weasel boxes.

52Carl yeah, I have heard red squirrels will eat other red squirrels even. Also something had chewed the wire for her lights out there too.
Big Sam I guess it could be, I have never seen one around here but after all they are nocturnal so maybe that's why

I used to catch a fair number of weasels. A weasel will catch more mice and chipmunks then any cat ever born. If he's not hurting anything and you don't have any chickens, leave him alone.

I have a bunch of chickens. I thought about letting it hang around, if it is a weasel, but then I remembered the chickens

Set a couple of traps. Yesterday I reset one of the mousetraps and caught another mouse. This morning I went out there and the weasel or whatever had eaten most of it. So I put a 1.75 (cuz that's what I had handy) right in front of the dead partially eaten mouse, and also set another mousetrap there too.

And then I set another mousetrap here with a #1 coilspring and a #0 dls that I modified so if I do catch a mouse, hopefully the critter will want to come get it and get caught.
