Not using 330's because your too old and weak to carry and set them ??...............( .just poking you a bit ) I'm guessing not enough water to submerge them

Good going! I like that set and have used it a lot. I call it a pass-through set.

Will a beaver chew through a cable ? They go through oak trees up here.

You could cut an oak tree with a cable but you will never cut a cable with an oak tree.

Good set.

I've never seen a beaver chew the cable itself. The tree it's anchored to, yes. Any tree within reach, yes. Twist up a cable and kink it to the point the the lay becomes unwound and wires break almost to complete breakage, yes.

If anchoring to trees anchor below water or as low as possible, root ideal, or to a huge honking tree that won't be cut down. Avoid having other trees within reach that entangle the snare so that it can't swivel and swivels prevent the cable from unwinding.

It is a good one and it doesn’t seem to matter how you make it as long as there is a place to “pass-thru”, almost like they are drawn to it.

That's a A1 set. I saw that first picture the other day and just knew there would be a beaver waiting for you. Back when I was snare crazy I even used that set for some muskrats just to do it.
