My boat captain was getting a little muddy. Last spot was tidewater and at low tide you get muddy and everything in the boat does as well. But can't complain, yesterday only had time to get four traps in this spot and all four connected.

An otter and a dang nutria finished the day. Now to hurry and get them dried for this Saturday.

Sammy is just over a year old. The first time I tried to get him in the boat he was like "no way". Had to grab him and put him in. Now he runs down the ramp and jumps in. He loves it. Rides up in the bow like a sultan.

My elkhound stands on the front of the boat waiting for a chance to jump off. Jumps in the boat without orders most of the time.

My season totals were not very good this year. Way to warm and dry and when we did get rain it was too much and blew the rivers out. When the rivers are too low I can't even navigate there with a prop.

So I ended up with 104 beaver and 12 otter Probably about 15 nutria and for the first time ever not one single coon!

Land line was better though 22 bobcats was a record for me. Also 7 civets and a couple of gray fox.

Thank you for taking the time to post your bobcat and waterline expeditions, Beaverpeeler! I really enjoy seeing how other people operate their trap lines.

That's a good average size there peeler. These creek beaver I catch on the other coast run a good bit smaller than yours

Gotta live up to the nickname...

so the question I have for you peeler is how did the new regs affect you as far as where you can trap beaver in Oregon?

So far, waters that are considered navigable and are boarded by private land have not been affected.

I am impressed that you remember about HB3932.

Most of the places that are off limits are places I could not trap anyway because all my trapping is with a boat driven by prop.
