I have tied on Jigs , hooks and other tackle often with a Palomar knot especially when using florocarbon leaders or braid
I was in FL last week at the northern edge of the glades and went on a fishing charter in the 10000 islands area where they tie swim jigs on with a loop knot
seems most use a non-slip loop knot
it works I caught fish , I had done a loop knot with baits like a Rapala where you want it to get maximum action
I just had never tied on a Jig head with a loop knot
the one the guide used looked to be a non-slip-loop
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
When I started reading your thread, I got the shakes because of how much I need to get out fishing. It's been a while and we've just been too busy!
Then I was impressed with the clarity of the instructional video on tying a non-slip loop knot. Don't you just love it when someone puts out a really clear video?
Thanks for posting! I hope you had a nice getaway in Florida!

20 years ago an ol buddy from Canada told me “when them walleye get spooky on the chain (chain of lakes) tie your jig on with a loop, makes a big difference “.
Same knot. Was testing the knot with the flies i was using in HI years ago. Had my wife holding the fly in a loop and I wrapped the fluro around some pliers and we pulled. The stainless hook broke and the fly came back into my finger at mach 10. Quite a zinger. The knot has never failed me. I use a perfection loop with leader 50# and above.
