The other option is to buy and time the markets and sell when your stock goes up. If you need the money then that my work for you. Then at sometime you want to buy again what do you buy and that war starts all over again when to sell or when to hold game.

I'm a firm believer after being in the markets for 45 plus years is that buying and holding and gaining growth with time and compounding is the best path for me. Data also confirms that method is the best for success. Of course risk is the driver for everyone and how the maneuver through their investment.

Good Luck.

Don't forget derivatives, which is what I do. Options trading is NOT daytrading. It does however require active management of your accounts. Unless someone truly enjoys participating in the market on a daily basis, as I do, then yes, I agree with you that buying and holding is likely the best choice. Even with that though, a person at times needs to review and adjust their accounts to ensure that the assets are allocated properly for your goals.

I had some time to look at this today. Purple line = 150 day moving average. My trigger finger would be on the safety and I'd be watching it. Its at the point it bounces up or drops through. Look at Feb 2025 where it dipped below one time before. It started climbing again in April of 25 and went on a pretty good run b/c the volume bars at the bottom got big so they were buying and it climbed. You are dropping below the purple line again BUT are aslo getting volume (the bars are doubling) ((people buying dip?)) but not much magnitude (the values in bars are not a bunch of money) and Im not sure what to think of that just yet but there is more buying swings which is supposed to be good. The guy I follow says red and green doesn't mater, its the swings you want (the interest in it) (unless they are all dropping red of course... upward spikes were talking.)

Anyway Im just learning, I don't know much about it myself. Im just trying to follow the data and show how someone else can try to too. Interesting.
