I found a sand bar on the bank of a river loaded with coyote coon and cat tracks and was wondering what would be the best way to stake it? I dont really want to use a drag but if thats the best way i might have to. Thanks Jake Werner

Pogos work great in sand IF you can get the driver to release the washer once it's driven in. I have problems with sand getting wedged in there and it won't release.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

heres how to fix that Gary.
what i do, is drive the washer down, then use my hammer and tap the shaft of the driver several times, in a circulat motion. gve the handles a littel twist, then, hit the bottom of the handles with your hammer in a upward motion as hard as you can, keep doing it untill the driver comes up easily.
works about 90% of the time. sometimes you just have to keep trying.

I have a place like that and buried a cinder block with a long chain. the modern methods are easier but I know an old time way. Old timers called it a "dead man" or bury a dead man. a 2x4 about 5-6 feet long is buried as deep as you can get it with the chain fastened to it.

Nothing is never new.........dead man .......the first disposable...works with the same principal.......LOL

Here in Mn we get cold temps so what I do is I will use 2 stakes and freeze them in! by pouring water around the stake, Works great...

I would sink a couple pogos, if I was still in doubt I would attach a drag also. If there is a will there is a way.
