I am wanting to make some bait for fox and yotes. I heard that Jack Makeral works well for this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to prepare jack makeral for fox bait?

I don't know about fox or yote, but I do know that mixed with Fish Oil (I use Menhadden) and a little glycerin it works great in a pocket set for coon and mink.
A "half truth" is still a whole lie.

I've used mackeral and peanut butter mixed in my PVC sets (on land) for coon... tends work great on fox too apparently.

Mackeral will work alone or with about anything you want to add. I have used a fair amount of it mixed with honey and asafoetida and had good luck. You can add shellfish, shrimp, caster, rat gland or about anything you want.

IMO, Jack Mackeral is the best coon bait there is. I like to add a touch of beaver castor to just about all my lures. It just seems to enhance the smell and seems to attract almost any critter.
My wife wants me to wear a bracelet that belonged to her grandfather. It says, "Do Not Resuscitate".

Asafoetida (1/4 ounce) to two cans of mack. as said above
Yes it says Jack Mackeral and it is by the canned salmon & tuna fish , never seen a store that didnt have it. Lots of people use it as an alterantive to salmon patties, because of cost.
You dont refrigerate and we use it up when we make and we sometimes run out of asafoetida so it dont always get it.
