I have tried cooking turkey is several ways. The only way I was able to eat one was when it was deep fried in one of those big deep friers. Otherwise I make turky jerky out of them.

Cut the breasts in strips, marinate in 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1 cup of Orange juice.

Let sit in fridge for a couple hours, wipe off, put on grill (low heat, higher heat will dry them out), a few minutes before they are finished, brush with some honey.

Enjoy.

That sounds great. I'm going to have to give that a try.

One of my favorites is wild turkey and rice.
First, fillet the breast off the bone, trim all fat, gristle, and tendon, wash, and cut into bite sized chunks.
Next, Use just enough oil to cover the bottom of your frying pan. Place meat in pan, cook on low heat while covered (I use right around the #4 notch on an electric range). Cook until the meat starts to brown, turn, and repeat.
After the meat is cooked, remove the excess oil from the pan. I like to use the prepackaged Dirty Rice by Knorr.
Add the amount of water called for on the package to the pan with your meat in it. Add your favorite hot sauce to give it a little kick if you like that in your food. Cook until rice is tender and enjoy.

Tall glass, double shot, a little ice, and fill up with Sprite or Coke.

cut into small cubes, marinate in ziploc bag in fridge for several hours in nothing more than italian dressing. wrap with bacon, and jalapeno if u like and put on the grill. tastes great, or deep fat fry without the bacon

I make turkey Mcnuggetts, barbacued turkey strips, turkey pot pie, turkey stir fry. Anything you do with chicken works better with wild turkey. Just dont over cook it or it will dry out.

Here is my wife's recipe that we have done for a few years at the WI T-Man Feed. Nothing but compliments over these.
(Tip - use a cordless drill to pre drill the water chestnuts so they don't split)

Wild Turkey Kabobs from Wisconsin Trapperman Feed

Wild Turkey Breast - Cut into approx. 1” cubes
Bacon - Cut strips to ¼ length and warm to room temp to soften
Water Chestnuts - Pre-drill through centers to slide onto bamboo skewers
Bamboo Skewers - Cut to desired length and presoak to prevent burning

Wrap each cube of meat with ¼ slice of bacon and slide onto skewer, alternating with water chestnuts. Grill until bacon is done. Remove from grill and brush with glaze.

Glaze for Wild Turkey Kabobs

½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter, melted
3 tbsp white wine vinegar

You can make a low carb version by substituting granular Splenda (the one that measures the same as sugar) for the brown sugar. In fact, that’s what I made for this year’s feed.

The original recipe called for dove breast instead of turkey, so you could use just about any meat you want to try.

ENJOY!!!!!
