Take off all the meat ya can and simmer till almost done..SLOWLY...Remove...pull all the meat apart(this will be easy after simmering) and place in a cooking dish and add your favorite bbq sauce and place in oven and bake on a low temp...It makes a tremendous "pulled pork" dish...You wont even know its wild turkey...
That sounds great. I'm going to have to give that a try.
One of my favorites is wild turkey and rice.
First, fillet the breast off the bone, trim all fat, gristle, and tendon, wash, and cut into bite sized chunks.
Next, Use just enough oil to cover the bottom of your frying pan. Place meat in pan, cook on low heat while
covered (I use right around the #4 notch on an electric range). Cook until the meat starts to brown, turn, and repeat.
After the meat is cooked, remove the excess oil from the pan. I like to use the prepackaged Dirty Rice by Knorr.
Add the amount of water called for on the package to the pan with your meat in it. Add your favorite hot sauce to give it a little kick if you like that in your food. Cook until rice is tender and enjoy.
