I have tried cooking turkey is several ways. The only way I was able to eat one was when it was deep fried in one of those big deep friers. Otherwise I make turky jerky out of them.

Cut the breasts in strips, marinate in 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1 cup of Orange juice.
Let sit in fridge for a couple hours, wipe off, put on grill (low heat, higher heat will dry them out), a few minutes before they are finished, brush with some honey.
Enjoy.

Take off all the meat ya can and simmer till almost done..SLOWLY...Remove...pull all the meat apart(this will be easy after simmering) and place in a cooking dish and add your favorite bbq sauce and place in oven and bake on a low temp...It makes a tremendous "pulled pork" dish...You wont even know its wild turkey... That sounds great. I'm going to have to give that a try. One of my favorites is wild turkey and rice. First, fillet the breast off the bone, trim all fat, gristle, and tendon, wash, and cut into bite sized chunks. Next, Use just enough oil to cover the bottom of your frying pan. Place meat in pan, cook on low heat while covered (I use right around the #4 notch on an electric range). Cook until the meat starts to brown, turn, and repeat. After the meat is cooked, remove the excess oil from the pan. I like to use the prepackaged Dirty Rice by Knorr. Add the amount of water called for on the package to the pan with your meat in it. Add your favorite hot sauce to give it a little kick if you like that in your food. Cook until rice is tender and enjoy.

Tall glass, double shot, a little ice, and fill up with Sprite or Coke.
