Been using and makeing snake bait/lure for many years. Havent sold it commercially yet but it does have its merit.Snakes work on heat signatures, smell, movement and vibration indicators.A good scent will cover some bases as to when they encounter the scented material they will be prompted to give it a closer examination due to their feedback from their sensory receptors. Therefore getting captured in the trap or on the glue board.

This lure originated with James White from Maryland. I'm sure some on here will remember him. James specialty was handling, repelling, attracting and controlling snakes and other reptiles.
We've sold this formulation for years and does help to attract a snake into an area or trap.

Does it work as good as a live mouse stuck to a glue board! smile

Hard to beat the real deal of anything if it is alive. Mice however dont last long on glue boards so unless it is active when the snake arrives it isnt going to have anymore effect as an attractant then a good bait. The combined effects of movement, noise, vibration, odor etc. are the cats meow.!!
