yes flesh it down to a clean hide .
they flesh nice and i would say easier than a coon , the tails give me some grief though.

Rob, try turning them end for end and fleshing the tail from the tip towards the hide....works for me...Tom Tom, I will have to give that a try next time i do one which will be soon i hope. I really hate when i have a nice coon or skunk and part of the tail is gone lol

i have to take my time when fleshing skunks as its pretty to pull hair, especially after you get done fleshing a pile of coons! lol
some people shouldn't be allowed to breed

If you have a mixed bag catch, start with your easiest to flesh critter: fox, skunk, etc... and then work on your coon, beaver, etc....
If I start the other way around, I tend to be waaayyyy too aggressive and heavy with the knife on the easily torn pelts.
