Has anybody ever used eggs for bait? I work at fareway, and today they were sortin through broken or cracked eggs, so I got a bunch of not so cracked eggs thinkin' they'd make good bait. What kind of set to use them with? I was thinkin a pocket set with an egg in the back, or a dirthole with one down in it. Also whole strawberries would they work, or any other produce? Any advice is appreciated.

THe eggs make good bait and visual attractant at a dirthole or a pocket. Id say crack it open and drain it into the hole and push the shell down in the bottom of the hole or back of the pocket.
And also, i bet strawberries would be good for coon and maybe even grey fox because they are so sweet.

I make egg bait/ base out of pure eggs.
So does Jameson.

sounds like your asking for stinkers with the eggs! But fox and coon will also eat them as well. Doesn't hurt to try!

I use a dab of synthetic rotten egg at my scent posts, and I am convinced it really makes a difference. I don't know why a small smear of rotten egg wouldn't have the same effect.
