What do you charge for odor control?

I wondering what some of you charge for when doing a odor control treatment for skunks. I just bought a electric atomist sprayer so I can add odor control to my services. Now that I am offering the service I am wondering what the best way is to charge for it. Do most of you charge by the foot or hourly? Thanks for any advice.

just thinking out loud here but wouldnt ya wanna charge for the job? like 100 bucks for a gargage, 1000 bucks for a small home, 2000 bucks for a large home and garage... 400 bucks for a crawl space, i think you can charge what ever you want in this area cause i really dont want the job, i figure there are cleaning services that do this and i am sure they charge plenty to rid a home of skunk odor, think of the clothes, curtains, carpets etc. good luck

Plenty of variables.... distance to site, size of area, difficulty of access, type (= cost) of product used, and if a detailed search is required to determine if a carcass exists. Treating will not solve the odor problem if there is a dead skunk (even badly decayed) still in the area. Every time it rains or humidity is high, the odor will be reactivated just like when first sprayed. I have done skunk carcass removals from crawl spaces that had BAD odor problems for up to a full year from a single dead skunk carcass. Often ducts require treatment, and I have coated furnace filters with a quality odor destroying agent to help. The enzyme-based odor eliminators are awesome, but need to be applied directly to the area sprayed or contaminated, not just fogged into the space. I've used several different brands over the past 10 years, many from WCS, and also a product called D-Molish from Neutron Industries.

A small exaust fan works to push odors out if the machine is placed close to the source. Then I use flexie pipe to get it where i want it, outside. I dont use cover scent but they are available. I leave the fan there for a couple of weeks and swing back threw for it on the route.
