There wasnt anthing illegal about it. Would appreciate it in pms. How do you think I made my first triggers. you might be missing something that makes a big difference. You know Gary started to post several months back. I sent Cletis tubes so he could make it himself. I think I'll make a post and show the mod, but I won't bump it unless I get a direct question on it. Just let it fade away and in a month no one will remember it probably. If I don't someone else will. I will also tell them you apologized for being misinformed, save you some face that way. About the best I can do at this point.

Great re-post Jayme, you come up with some great ideas.
On the trigger mod, you should be able to make the twist without the use of a torch as the steel used is mild steel....just adding a suggestion.
Keep up the good work....

Glad this misunderstanding is getting worked out....Jayme did a good job of converting the triggers.....but it seems that it has been forgotten that Carlis is the first one who came up with the design and redesign of the push - pull triggers for the market.......Talked to Carlis yesterday on the phone and he told me he really didn't mind someone using his idea to mod their personal traps.....but doing it for resale was a different situation......I purchased several dozen of his replacement trigger assy......and as you know am making homebuilt dps with the ones I didn't have traps to go on........was having trouble finding 16 gauge tubing....called Carlis to find out where he was getting his tubing from......that is when he offered the ends left off of the cnc machine....so my supply problem was solved.....and during the conversation ....you better not be selling them....I told him they would be for sale when I couldn't trap any longer or the my kids sold my estate..LOL...
I am dissappointed that Jayme isn't going to jail.....was wanting to start cloning his skinning rigs.....I know he is about to retire from all of the funds he has garnered from the mfg of them..
See all of you at the NTA Convention.
Of course you can take it as a compliment if your idea warrants coping

Thank you Carlis for doing the right thing. I doubt this is going to hurt your sales. The folks who want to modify their own traps is really very small compared to the whole trapping population. Most would rather buy a kit than do it themselves.

Once again, reassures us how great this forum really is, and how we are a brotherhood of trappers
A trap is only a trap if you dont know about it. If you know about it, its a challenge

While you got that trigger out of there take a dremel and put some teeth on it, it will hold your bait better.
