Anyone have good info on how much seed will be available(ginseng and goldenseal) this year and the cost. I have never tried to plant godenseal but would like to sow some in different spots around my woods.

If you have never done before Goldenseal you may be better off with a pound of rootlets for first time.

Are the rootlets available? cost? source?

i don't know about goldenseal,but the price of ginseng seed is really high this year from what i've been quoted.

I've had good luck with Glacial Ginseng Company from Michigan. Their seed is not the cheapest but it has always been damp and smiling at you when I get it. It sprouts well too. I have some three year old plants that are two prongers with berries. Big four year old plants - some with three prongs.I have to go with rootlets on the golden seal too.

The best I can do a lb. on seng seeds is 85.00 a lb shipped to your door.

Your on the low end of the seed prices that I have seen.I seen it from 70 to 150 for a pound plus shipping.

I think next season seed is going to be high.With the dry season this year the plants yielded half the seed.

To late for Goldenseal seeds. I sold 84 lbs. of Ginseng seed so far for $60.00/lb.I'm currently not taking anymore orders,selling it all on ebay here on out. That includes next year also.
