Heiress Paris Hilton is devastated and has been crying all night after losing two of her dogs to a vicious coyote attack.

Hilton was "devastated" at the loss of her tiny friends and has been crying all day, a source told X17online.com.

Animal attacks are a sad but common occurrence in Los Angeles, where wildlife often wanders into residents' posh backyards.

Halle Berry and Demi Moore have also had pooches snatched from their property by bigger animals.

Hilton, who revealed on "Ellen" earlier this year that she has 17 dogs, says she lavishes attention on all of them. "I trade it off so they don't get jealous - I'll bring like three out at once," she has said.

Are you telling me, in a big concrete jungle that nobody saw a coyote running around eating dogs? Probobly she did it herself when she was hopped up on goof balls.

I grew up in LA. There are a LOT of coyotes. Totally fearless.

well when you pack an area full of hippies that put greater importance on animals than people....that's what you're gonna run into...if only someone could have given the coyote's mother a contraceptive earlier this tragedy could have been avoided

There's some very sad storys on kids and full grown poeple I could post but I just don't feel right doing it , there in the east too . Are wolfs here in Michigan are moving south . Them things really eat up the domestic animals . Looks like there headed to Ohio if you ask me seeing we had one here last month . Farm land wolf wonder if they could adapt . Seems like life would be easy

I get wolves within 2 blocks of my house. I dont make an issue of it because they dont bother me. If someone wants to write a check, Ill see what I can do for them. As far as coyotes in Los Angeles, Lots and lots of them, they live in sewers,storm drains, and under houses. They will eat dogs and cats readily. Ive even shot them in homes where they came in the doggie door.

Ya I'm not a wolf hater . Kinda like them myself . Wish we would get are season ,wouldnt mind doing combination trapping vacation . Funny how people want to protect them till one gets down in the city then it's war . I just told the callers the chance of one eating them was slim seeing there are so many people to chose from as a joke . Then I told them this one single most likely male wolf should find plenty of animals to feed on . No need to eat poeple . Then they felt better , coyote are a differnt story there like a virus if your asking me . We never had any to the 90s then they just moved in , we had them in the north but not in the south . Wolfs eat coyote .

Mike, is the story about the coyotes killing a child ( baby )in the Los Angeles area, ( maybe Hollywood ) true or not?

Animals will move and adapt to the situation to survive. When the San Diego area had a drought, the raccoons and skunks were where ever they found a pool, or irigation. Then the famous Cedar fire burned the countryside. I couldnt get a skunk or coon job to save my tail, but the coyote jobs flooded the books.
I killed 153 i think in 30 days, right in down town San Diego. Coyotes had eaten all the wild life, now they were after cats, dogs, and small kids. One little girl in Los Angeles bought the farm in her own back yard, and 2 kids were dragged by there faces by coyotes in Balboa park. There parents fended off the coyotes, i guess it could have been worse.
In many countries, wolves take children on a regular basis. India, Russia, are a couple that come to mind. Victims are usualy consumed except the head.
Could it happen here? Has it happened here? Who knows.

I live in the same area that I was raised in. We never had a single coyote for nearly 30 years. When I saw the first one, the people I told about it said that the alcohol had finally gotten to my brain. I caught the first one in the county several months later. Within three years everybody had seen coyotes.

The DNR said that they would control the deer population so there wouldn't be as many car/deer crashes. They only deer they controlled were the ones lying on the side of the road. The bird watchers said they were a blessing and that they would control the feral cat population. Baloney, we get more feral cat calls than ever.

If you think coyotes are a pain in the butt, wait until the wolves get here. Wait and see; someone will promise that they are a blessing too and that only eat liberals!
