Would apppreciate any help in catching a fox family in box traps - red foxes I think; they're the most common round here. Thanks.

if the pups arecoming out of the den and playing around, they are usually fairly easy to catch in a cage trap. The parents can be a different story. A friens of mine caught the mother and 6 pups in 4 days last week, aparently the daddy fox was still hanging around while the last pup was in the cage, but he was never captured.

Dave, come on. You've read my posts on fox. Fox pups are about as hard to catch as opossums. Use Wickenkamps or Comstock 2-doors and dog food. The foxes around here give me about as much respect as Rodney Dangerfield. Three days ago I had another fox den across the street and down the block. I could have walked there. The lady told me where she saw them; I set three Wickenkamps and had three fox pups the next day. However many were left, skedaddled; job done.
