Yesterday, as I was preparing to take a shower, I noticed this bloody gouge in my leg. It looked like a Pit Bull had used my leg as a warm-up for his big fight. It really looked like it should have hurt pretty good when I got it but I have no idea where or even when. As I get older, this has been happening more and more. Hope I don't lose a limb and have to go back looking for it.

Phil, I doubt it. Got a flu shot and a shingles shot yesterday. I can still feel the flu shot.

Neuropathy starts in the toes and works its way up the foot, ankle and leg. The basic symptom is no feeling. Typically diabetics get neuropathy. But, it can happen for no reason and the doctors can't find a cause. Or, if you are a Vienam vet, there is dioxin (agent orange) related neuropathy.

Phil, the reason I mentioned my arm is that's where I usually cut myself open and never feel a thing. Got out before 'Nam, thank God. No diabetes either. The same classmates that laughed at me for going into the sevice the day after high school graduation aren't laughing anymore. A lot of them won't even talk about it and some lost limbs. You wonder when we're going to learn to keep our noses out of stupid wars!

Paul, your house is most likely haunted. I see that sort of thing on TV all the time.

Paul, you make me feel like I ought to quit now. I ain't nowhere near your age of decrepitude wink but this year I've been told by the medical staff that I now need those spectacles with the funny lines and my knees are due for rotation sooner than later plus neuropathy explains my bouts of numb hands and feet.
It's to soon for that crap I still have a four year old running wild. But then again I am a grandfather twice so I don't know if I'm coming or going most days.

David, you'll get a kick out of this. Because of a lack of personnel today, my wife sent me to one of our customers that we've had for twenty years. The gentleman came out and I asked how he was doing. He said he's got a brand new hip that he just loves but he's also got neuropathy. Seems to be a timely topic.

Dave, you've got helmetidous. It comes from not wearing a helmet when biking, racing, or playing football!
