I know most of you up north don't even think about alligator trapping yet, I have heard of them showing up in Wisconsin, New York and Pennsylvania and chances are all points in between. I suspect these incidents occurred with a smuggled pet alligator that finally got to big and was released to fend for itself in the wild.

I find it faninating and if I lived in Flordia, Alabama, S. Carolina or one of the other states that had problems...I'd probably be a 'gator trapper. Is this something you sell, Robb?

Hey I have tried to get these professional rights. Recently the state was considering turning over nuisance alligators to homeowners. It did not pass this year thus nuisance wildlife trapping is not done privately yet in Florida. Bummer.

State has their own trappers for gators 4 foot and up. For example in my own county one trapper has an exclusive right to trap gators after a permit is issued a FWC Alligator permit.

Naw, that's ok. I left florida cause I was tired of never knowing what would be in the pool in the morning...LOL

Been bumped by a gator in a canoe, bumped by a shark in the gulf, and stepped on a root that had a rattler (pigmy) under it. Dove into the pool and camue up face to face with a cottonmouth.
Loved it there, but it is a bit scary sometimes...
Oh, and to copy another fun thread in the trap talk forum, I have seen a big big big black cat in the woods down there.

Don't foget the black widows and fire ants...don't ever foget those fire ants!

Similar here in GA. Up to 48" I can haul it out of there. Anything bigger I have to wait for someone to die so I can just get on the waitng list for a license.

And we can't forget the No see'ums, and Flying Teeth. LOL I remember spending the night broke down in my airboat, about 20 miles from nowhere on the St. Johns River outside of Cocoa FL. It was the only time in my life I ever considered shooting myself, to get some relief from them mosquito's that were eating me alive.

I don't know what they are. That is sure what they feel like though.

Mosquito Control can be lucrative though
