First time poster here.

Odd question for you all.

I've done a lot of trapping. Anything from squirrels to black bears but Ive never really taken any pics of the critters in the traps.

Im making a flyer for my ADC trapping and would like a few photos of critters in Legholds and Live traps.

Prefer beaver,coon,bobcat and coyotes.

Please let me know if anyone has any I can use for my flyer. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you wait on the pictorial flyer, until you actually catch something of your own.

Codes,

Welcome to the forum, this thread is liable to get going in some different directions so I'm going to give a quick shot at addressing what you are going to get for results.

Folks have different schools of thought on this, where you might find lots of folks happy to see animals caught in equipment in your area or region, and others may have similar flyers, many folks use either live animal pics outside of equipment (natural shots), or icons that look like wildlife/tracks/traps, etc....

No matter which way you go, just understand that while folks are usually extremely helpful, this business of ADC wildlife work is diverse and for many showing trapped critters is a good way to put off clients or prospective clients, or simply isn't necessary to get folks to understand what you do.

I would say that even in rural WY where ranching thrives, most ranchers and clients don't need to see a trapped animal to understand what you offer, though again, some would say this makes it clear what you are offering.

Just wanted to clear the air and explain that you might get folks who are more than willing to send you photos of this type, but these days you'll likely see some debate and discussion of this type arising from such a request.

Also, honestly you can get more photos quicker from folks on traptalk end of this forum as it wouldn't matter whether the animal was taken for fur or damage if you are just putting it in a flyer.

Hope that helps...or somethin.....

I don't know how to say this nicely but here goes... some may think you're an "anti" looking for animals "suffering" in leg holds. If you're not then welcome aboard!

Just using the word legholds instead of footholds would be enough to turn a lot of people off.

Anti im not. Feel free to check my website out at www.beyondaddictionadventures.com And no this isn't advertising. Ive caught a lot of critters but never taken pics. And the flyers are for advertising to get cliental. I just moved here so trying to get connections. Never thought about just doing basic critter pics, its an idea I may have to do.

So basicly your looking for trapping pictures for flyers so you can pass them out to ranchers so they think your the man and you can get a foot hold on some new hunting ground to film or sell hunts . Your surely no trapper so what's the plan hire a trapper . Would love to see the look on a ranchers face when you hand them a flyer

I believe he asked a reasonable question and when presented with some thoughts he decided to maybe put the flyer together with stock imagery of wildlife without traps. No reason to go bagging on the guy without him deserving it.

I know lots of folks who trap hard and don't carry a camera, doesn't make them less the trapper, in many cases actually more, as they don't post pics to insight riots!

My .02, he asked and got his question answered Pesky.
