mousie, that thought has gone through everyone of our heads. Personally, we never raise our prices for the wealthy because they always seem to come up with way more work than you expected if you do a decent job.

I'm with Paul. I have one price across the board BUT rich folks spend way to much on way to much house and that just means more house to seal and it all works out in the end.

Paul I get what your saying and agree however that anit your average ranch house either ALOT more places to seal and to put your name on for x amount of years.

Price go up compared to what? Thoughts of price increase is using sealants that won't fail when applied to corroding copper as well as safety equipment, rental of lift...

My price stays the same rich or not.

I've done work for millionaires and a family worth billions. I charge the same and work just as hard regardless of income or how nice their home is. Good ethics, good work, fair pricing and profitability is what helps keep you in business.

Mousie pricing can be relevant to size with respects to what has to be done, what the problem may be and the degree of difficulty.

So potentially a castle can be more costly to treat or to provide services for then lets say a normal 2 story stick built home. However, job pricing is still all relevant to the above mentioned criteria.

I worked on a castle a few years ago for coon getting into the lower levels and traveling to the turrent towers. Pricing at times can also be relevant to what the market can bear as well. There might get a nice tip for such a job well done and future business/referrals.

Actually I'm more likely to reduce my fees on the biguns. I have a standard pricing schedule, gable vents xxx ground vents xx soffit returns xx, you get the idea and on the mcmansions it adds up fast. As a result they can go into five figures quick compared to your 1800 Sq ft ranch that I have price every little thing out to make t worth my while. I'd rather come down a little on a 10k job and get it than low ball a 500 dollar job.

It's people who live in houses like this that always want to try and get a discount. Seems like it never fails. I had a guy today that lives in a 7000 sq foot house try to haggle with me over $30.00. I felt like saying "Sir, your bathroom is bigger than my whole house and your worried about $30.00?!?!"

It'd be funny if it weren't so true!!
