No surprise.
Baby's are warm.
Snakes like warm.
And when they get warm, they get hungry.

Add a couple of guys getting stung while wearing bee suits and a lot of old people calling mainly because they're lonesome, and you've nailed it. ( Well, except for the python and the baby )

Last week lady calls and tells me she ran over a beaver and broke it's leg, she wrapped it in a blanket and took it to the local zoo. She called me to report the accident and wanted to know if she needed to report it to her insurance AND where to send the money for it's medical bills.

It takes a very special kind of person to even think they should be picking up injured and scared beavers.

I am inclined to think this person should hold onto their own money for their own medical costs some day and not be so willing to give it away.

Okay, since one of my favorite comic strips was Mark Trail, ( most of you are saying, who the heck is that? ) and he was always picking up beaver, I have to ask this question: How many of you think that beaver are not very aggressive and that this story is probably quite true?

Now first of all, I've probably caught less than 100, so I'm still a rookie, but I've handled a bunch of live beaver, including one of the largest that I've caught, and I'd rather handle them than a lot of other animals. ( And I do realize that once you've been bitten by a beaver, everything else pales in comparison )

After talking to her for over 15 minutes(I couldn't get her off the phone) I did deduce that she had reduced mental capacity. There's that nicer Dave again, in the past I would have called her a re****.

Mark Trail did not have any lady friends. He would later go on tv as Marty Stauffer. Then he was killed by a giant sting ray. His daughter made twerking famous by having fake sex with a bear at the emmy's.

ps what is a re****? restarstarstarstar. sounds like someone has a sp*** im********

Okay, as a well known writer ( I always like to start off with a good laugh ) it is my sworn duty to help English teachers wherever I can. Firstly, the 4 stars you are looking for in re**** are the letters d-a-r-t. As in the sentence: "Redart that sucker; he's charging again."

And secondly, you don't have enough stars for "eech".

I'm like Mark Trail also. When I was younger I was always trying to pick up beaver and like Mr. Winkelmann I have handled a lot of beavers and if handled with skill they become very agressive. Skillless they just try to escape and get harder to catch. I also agree with Paul that once you are bitten by the beaver everything pales in comparison. [b]

Years ago, I was called by a lady who was concerned that her neighbors cows were fighting with something. Turns out that they had a beaver bayed up. Or at least did have. They were circled around a stump when I got there and a beaver covered in dust and cow poop was sneaking out from under the herd. This was miles from the nearest beaver dam, but not far from a small seep. I hand grabbed him by the tail. Put him in the back of a small pickup and every time he started to climb out I had to tap the breaks to keep him in. I took him around to a pond on the same property to let him cool off and get his bearings. Carried him by the tail again. He was about a thirty pounder and was much like carrying a giant possum. I had an opportunity to play with one that had the benefit of being in his own element, namely water, and it didn't go nearly as good. Very powerful animals in water! I played with one that was cornered in a culvert one time too, but not for long. If they can get their feet in water, or if you have to deal with their front end, they are too much.

That's rich, Robb!
Yeah, watch out for the front end...that's where the chain saw's attached.
