Well just when I've thought I've seen and smelled everything under the sun...comes this new permeating odor by a trapper
that claims he's been catching a good many 'coon on this odor he has...

So, having been around a bit,( I made my first lure for other trappers in 1977 ) I decided to give this one a look.

'I gotta' tell ya' ", this stuff is unbelievable to way it just lingers and covers and area.
You can smell it through the jar and one drop of this stuff will over take a room.

The trapper who goes by 'sempergumby' here on T-man works in a lab , I find and has the skill of a chemist,(to some degree).

I understands odors far better than the average trapper, so I guess knowing this, it's easy to understand how he came up with it.

I guess he only has so much of it but it's going to be on my line this year...should be on your's too.

You probably meant to put that on the trapping thread Bubba. In ADC work we usually use weaker scent on purpose, and choose the best locations, so we get the target animals instead of all the raccoons from a mile away.

Speak for yourself Mike. We charge by the animal. Unless they squeal with an accent, we'll take coons from several states away.

You know, come to think of it, I would probably pay big bucks for something that won't catch coon.

No Mike, it was put exactly where it was intended !

My full time job is as an ADC /Nuisance trapper, so I know full well how the game is 'played'.

That said, I feel the scent I smelled will out perform most I've tried... and I've smelled and used about all on the market !

A strong lure or bait is not necessarily the best lure or bait I have found over the years. Its a balance of attractiveness, time of year, interest in a particular odor or blend of odors, set up location and visual presentation.Lots of things will produce results when placed at a location of opportunity for the target animal.

Then it is a matter if it is palatable/acceptable if contacted or not.I have worked with many different synthetics and art. food grade odors over the years as stand alone attractors and as boosting agents. They have their place but none have proven to be the holy grail in my experiences as of yet.

A skilled trapper will out produce any one products ability in fur trapping or adc trapping.Give that trapper the basic products and he will get the job done anywhere.

I have made hundreds of thousands of fragrances and flavors in my lifetime. It is what I do for a living, 5 days a week, hundreds and thousands of gallons... This stuff isn't just a call lure... And isn't synthetic. It was developed as a flavor additive for a project I was developing for a large food company. So, it was primarily developed for its flavor and the extremely strong odor was a bonus.

Seems to me you put this in the correct forum. Fur trappers are trapping coons. ADC trappers need to catch the LAST coon. They need every advantage that someone can come up with.

OK but can we get some to try. Spring is coming, I hope. Still 2 to 3 feet of snow here. But, a skunk was hit on the road last week. The coon can't be far behind.

When I have talked to LT on the phone, He seemed to be a laid back type of fellow that I would guess that, if he got upset, He did not get upset at being called bubba LOL Mike didn't mean anything by that. There are ALOT of folks on here that really have forgot more than most know have , and THOSE many on here, will help if the call comes with no problem, and, they do not deserve any more respect than any one else. beside those boys are use to being disagreed with, that is how they got to that place anyway LOL

He's just callin' me Bubba because I'm a black man.
Most people that haven't ever met me probably don't even know that.
I've been called worst by better.
