Have any of you had like little mini panic attacks. A buddy of mine gets these or something like them, it will only happen when it's quiet and there is people around. I will give you the description he gives me. He starts feeling light headed, feels sick, feels like he has trouble breathing, and he has trouble swallowing. But as soon as he starts moving around he feels fine.has this happened to anyone.

Howdy
Ive had these attacks for 20 years. They are caused by a overworked or shot adrenal gland(s). I overused my asthma inhaler as a young man, and this is the result. Having said that, I know similar attacks are caused by a thyroid out of control. Your pal needs to have some blood work done. Hope it turns out ok.

My ex-wife suffered from these for years and they eventually diminished. Some of hers were so severe she thought she was having a heart attack. She went improperly diagnosed and then was given Paxil for years. Her's I think were brought on by work.
I've heard in addition to Rx meds a lot of natural relaxation styles can help, yoga, wine, wacky weed and there's lot of nutritional options such as St. John's Wort. Someone else I know had a kid who started to have them and they enrolled him in martial arts and after a few months he stopped having them. He started up a year or two later when he stopped going to his martial arts class but soon after returning they stopped. Now he's a black belt and is a well rounded young man.
