I run and build super stakes on chain. They are tough. Hold up well in rocky conditions. Unless you are in very loose soil, the originals will be more than enough.

Sorry your not getting many replies. We have not had this trap out very long but it is selling very well.
If you have ever used the original Montgomery dogless it is very close to that trap.

Sorry, no experience with super stakes.

I picked up two dozen. They're built a little stronger than I imagined for $99 a dozen. The "dogless," feature sticks up just a tad higher above the jaw then the Bridger 2's. The only complaint I've had so far. I'm going to be setting them for cats so I'm not real worried about modifications as of yet. I think if I was going to be going after coyotes you might want to laminate the jaws, weld the jaw tips, and possibly base-plate. I plan to run them bone stock without waxing or dying. See what they're made of. I love the fact that the pan sits well below the jaws.

I was given two by Glen couple weeks ago a #2 and #3 - Very nice trap - I placed a large stock order; hopefully, we receive and I'll make a few more sets this winter before breaking out the fishing poles. I think fox and coyote trappers are really going to like this trap.

I used a dozen #2 dog on models this year and smoothed the jaw edged and laminated. Caught a few coyotes and some fox in them with no problems. Good spring strength and good hard steel. They function about like the other #2 square jaws out there.

I'm familiar with the Bridger #2 dogless and how they have sort of a convenient night latch to set the pan. Do these wolf creek dogless traps have a similar set up? Lift the pan the whole way up to lock the jaw down, then drop the pan til it clicks?

No, they do not. They are like the original Mongomery traps.

Me being a rookie an all can anyone post pics of what you mean by laminating jaws or the best way. I had a duke #2 set off this evening standing up stretched out, don't know what caused it.

How's the lock up on the #2s? I've not had the best luck w #2 Monty square jaws locking up. Even the later model high lever factory offsets. What is jaw spread on the #2?Offset available? Thanks

No offsets yet. Jaw spread 5 7/16".
Lock up is the same as our other traps. No problems.
I only designed the trigger after the Montgomery.
