If you wonder where all these anti gun crybaby student protests come from , look no further than the teachers who influence them all day on a daily basis

Just listen to some of the interviews ..................Seems like someone held a gun to their heads and made them become teachers for no pay at all

Now is not the time to strike when they should be teaching the kids.One protester stated he made a base salary of 44,000 per year. Not bad for 9 to 10 months work.More then most of our military makes for 24/7 365 days of work. I understand about getting more benefits, but you still have over two months of doing nothing and still have the time to pick up part time work. I work full time and operate two part time business.So no excuses.If they don't want to work, then I believe they can go work a minimum wage job.Plus I'm sure there is a lot teacher subs who can use the work. What makes it illegal?

It's hard to put needed money into education when the state gives a 500 million dollar tax break to the gas interests.
A 41K AVERAGE pay after getting a 4 year degree sure does make one wonder if the teachers willing to work for that pay are just as foolish as the state government that places everything else ahead of the education of the kids.

Certainly glad I don't have to send my kids to school in a state that values education so little.

It's not illegal. I have a son and a future daughter-in-law that teach down there. It's an organized walk out approved by the School Board in most areas. Starting salary is up to 6000.00 higher than a teacher that has been teaching for 3 years. They just want to balance the pay.

In the meantime, who is teaching the kids?

Some other notable illegal actions include the Boston Tea Party, Rosa Parks, and the unionization of coal mines.

Actually over 85 percent of the school's involved burnt 2 of their unused snow days so teachers could participate and not affect the school or children. As stated it was very well planned out with School Board approval.

What I see is people wasting valuable time and resources when their union reps should be negotiating a new contract. The way I see it. Don't work, don't get paid. SARGE NOW what do you think would happen if military men and women did what was taking place in Ok. SARGE

I have no problem with people putting their jobs on the line to better themselves or demanding what they think they are worth. I do have a problem when they have a union do it for them.

What get's me is they won and got a pay raise. Then they got greedy period. I hope a class action lawsuit is brought against the Oklahoma education board for Undo Hardship! There is people making Far less money than the Liberal Union workers that are actually suffering from the walk out. So it's just a form of legal terrorism. The other part here is the Pay difference from the principle and superintendent to starting teacher pay. We also have more school districts than we need. We need to come into the twenty-first century and consolidate like other states that are leaving us behind. So should the Board of education clean it's own house?
