pintail_drake04 trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,209 So. IL	I carry a Springfield 1911 that I "bling" with my custom scales I carried this pistol on duty years ago and its still my everyday carry weapon. A pistol is only a temporary means to get you to a real weapon in my opinion.

Had a couple of jams n the first 150 rounds, but no hiccups since then. Fixed sights, but I paid about $550, so you have some $$$ to fix it how you like. I like Ruark,s way of thinking " use enough gun ". If I remember correctly you can even shoot those anemic .454 loads in them lol. I'm satisfied with my .500 S&W Mag. from the performance center. The rimmed cartridges are .45 long colt, .45 auto rimmed .454 casul, .460 S&W mag & the .45-70 government, although it is technically a rifle cartridge and is loaded with a .458 bullet vs the .4515 in the pistol cartridges. But since the 45-70 is chambered in magnum research BFR revolver, and various single shot pistols it fits the discussion.
