A small group of five migratory birds dropped in to a local pond yesterday afternoon on a pit stop. Last year a small group arrived there April 2nd.

My favorite of all birds. To bad we don't get many going through where I live, more to the west.

Great shots, Jonathan! Usually by now I have them cavorting right under my window as the ice leaves the lake but right now I have about 2 feet of ice preventing that. This pic was taken on the 25th of March two years ago right through my dirty window:

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Love those wee hoodies. So small and precisely attired. I like seeing them here too.

Good captures, Jonathan cool

MnMan, Dirty window shots don't get any better than that one! grin

Actually, my best all time best portrait of a drake Hoodie was in the same pond April 2nd last year. Seeing one out of the water is a rarity for me.
