Jonathan OP "Wilson" Joined: Dec 2006 Northwestern New York(Elder)	A small group of five migratory birds dropped in to a local pond yesterday afternoon on a pit stop. Last year a small group arrived there April 2nd. Jonathan Camera Gear: Canon EOS 7D-MK-II, Canon EF-S 10-22mm, EF 28-135mm, EF 100-400mm and EF 400mm lenses.

Usually by now I have them cavorting right under my window as the ice leaves the lake but right now I have about 2 feet of ice preventing that. This pic was taken on the 25th of March two years ago right through my dirty window: I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Actually, my best all time best portrait of a drake Hoodie was in the same pond April 2nd last year. Seeing one out of the water is a rarity for me.
