When my dad retired from a deputy he made cedar chairs and sold them at summer town celibrations, they were similar but had legs, slide out foot rest and two wheels on back legs to roll in and out of weather, they won't last a lifetime if not brought in during winter

The only place I've used it in a house was for closet lining. The cedar chests made from this would was originally used because it kept the moths away from wool clothing stored inside the chests. The shavings from it can be put into a dog bed and is said to keep fleas off the dog using it.
