Do you use them?
If so, how high above coon set?
Never too old to learn

Nope, or at least not usually. I set my coon traps where he's going to step right over it

A call lure won't catch you less coon. If and when I trap coon I use every tool In the box. "Pro coon" will reach out and touch them.
You guys must have more coon then rats If that's you results when using Rat all Call.
Out of 1000s of rats sets In the Dakotas over several years I can only remember catching maybe 10 coon. I wouldn't make a set with out Lennos rat all call.

A good gland lure has worked well for me here when the boars are running. Coyote, fox, coon, bobcat, and otter gland all seem to work. I haven't seen any difference in putting it at ground level or head height.

Agree on gland. Almost any good Fox/coyote lure will work well on boars. Mink musk has calling power too.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Don't you have to shine a light on reflective paint to make It reflective? Those road side reflective markers don't shine until the head lights hit them.

When you trap raccoon in extreme cold weather , especially during January, (which is the rut , here) you will find that skunky call lures, or even just straight skunk essence will pull in more big boar raccoon and do it at a greater distance than most things you'll use. Yep, right at the set with a squirt of red fox urine to pick it up a notch.. Thanks Muskrat, that stuff is interesting!!

I don't know If this pertains to coon or not. But last season when I was snaring coyotes I used a call lure.
I had dumped some deer carcasses In some prairie ground. I wasn't having to much luck. So I figured If I placed some loud call lure Up off the ground a few feet. Actually 5' I would get their attention. It wasn't right at the carcass but a few yards away. And I did It In 2 locations around the carcass. I figured I needed to play any change In the wind. It worked. I got their attention and got them with In smelling distance of those deer carcasses. It was winter and the deer carcasses were frozen hard. Once I had a few tracks In the snow I hung some cable. There were a few deer trails around those carcasses but I tried to stay away from them.
But I think the same thing applies to coon trapping. Draw In the ones that aren't within that 5 to 10 foot range.
