Excellent, thanks white. I'm planning on going up the 1st of August, I just want somewhere that's not going to be crowded and people will leave me alone.  Then why would you buy a lot in a SUBDIVISION? You know that the lots there are a (state) subdivision, right? Pete

Alaska is big but you will never get away from people. I go out to some pretty remote places and I still run into other people.

I did look at Google earth and seen the cabins, the flight in from Fairbanks doesn't seem to bad.
  Pete I know it's in a subdivision but I had to compromise with the wife, she wants some sort of civilization, she says if we got a place out in the middle of nowhere she'd never see me again.
  Malukchuk unfortunately you are right, but I sure do have a better chance of finding it up there than down here.  I did not claim it was "civilized,"  only that it was a subdivision!   Good luck compromising with the wife.  Have you mentioned to her that she will need a Super Cub flight to go shopping?!!! Pete
