I found these growing in the gravel on the edge of a driveway fence. The pods were on 7-10 single stem plant stalks growing close together - all about 6 feet tall. Jonathan

I just tried to compare your photo with a few images on the internet. It looks like it might be fruit/pod from Yucca plant ? There are a few different types. Good Luck !

Definitely yucca. We have some escaped ornamental yucca growing wild around WI and tons in landscaping. Prickly pear too, but some say that is native.
