I've collected a bucket of ripe persimmons and put in the freezer for bait, does anyone know how to preserve them? I've heard maybe sugar but wasn't sure or how much. Any info is appreciated.

the list is long benzoic acid which is a form of sodium benzoate. Sugar but the sugar content needs to be 70% of the volume to fruit. Citric acid/vitamin c powder. alum, salt,vinegar/lemon juice. The simplest ball fruit preservative. Small amounts of sugar will also ferment it as well! The persimmons I preserved I used sugar and sodium benzoate! That was 6 years ago.
