I have a Jiffy propane ice auger. Does anyone sell a small 4-6" dirt auger bit that will fit my Jiffy for digging dirt-holes for coyote trapping?

I wouldn't do it....... I have destroyed a nice strike master trying to save myself time digging for sauna tubes. I blew the gears all apart. I'm not positive but I do believe that dirt augers are made different in the gear box so they last when you hit a rock. Just my 2 pennies

You think even a small diameter auger would/could damage the gear box? I got the idea from a Clint Locklear video. He has a 2 stroke dirt auger with a 3-4" bit. I figured my propane auger would not be as smelly

I don't know but I sure wouldn't risk it. I know the sthil bt45 ???? Is a dirt hole auger head. And I'm sure it's much stronger built than an ice auger.

Check Papio Creek Trapping Supply if you're looking for a big auger bit.

Anything over 2” for me is a trapping shovel or a tile spade, obviously not in frozen ground. You can auger out a pretty big hole with a trapping stake

I’m sure it works well in certain soils- I’m in clay and have to work hard to get my 2” out sometimes
