I would say no - not hand forged. The taper on the spring would be greater on a hand forged trap. iMO

Pre 1925, based on the OC pan.

An average # 1 1/2 Newhouse, in my opinion. Pan is VERY GOOD. Some pitting on the underside of the trap. Value - maybe $15.00 max. IMO

Thanks Nancy. The texture of the metal is different so I wasn’t sure. The spring spring is twice as strong as any my other 1 1/2 Newhouse.

Would a hand forged trap have that chain?

Here's a pic of a forged (rolled, trip hammered) spring and if the trap came with a factory chain it would most likely be like this one.
