huntmd94 OP trapper H Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 91 western md,south central Pa.	Found a heavily used coyote trail running parallel to a ridge about a third of the way down from the top. Hardly any little stuff along the trail to wire my snare support off of. There are a number of spots where the trail runs up tight to some large pines . Ground is to rocky to drive my rebar supports in. Thinking about using some fence staples to attach my supports to the bigger trees. Anyone have any other ideas? pa trappers association,maryland furtakers

Taximan trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 5,459 Montana	The staples will work as well as anything.Take the end you want to staple and bend about 5-6"back on itself.Staple over the doubled wire.This will be less likely to to spin,under the staples.

coydog2 trapper C Joined: May 2010 Posts: 2,738 Iowa	You can also take a lawn spick and weld #9 wire on it for the support and a fender washer not far from the bottom of the spick .I use that this season and last and works great .I learn this from Rally when I went to the FTA in 2017.The wire will be there after the catch reuse over and easy to remove. Allan Minear trapper A Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 11,883 MT (Big Sky Country)	Just remember to pull the staples or what ever steel you hammer or wrap around the tree it really will mess up a saw chain if left and the tree grows around or over it, this is just a friendly reminder which I'm sure you know already.
