Congratulations on the successful check and on the new lease on life thing's are sure challenging when some people don't give you all the information I've had a similar experience myself.
That pup is really something else and you sure have some great colored fox keep up the good work !
Stay Safe out there and enjoy your day !

Not sure what the new lease on life is about, but glad you are ok, whatever it was! Cool looking wolf! Those Bridgers 3s are pretty tough, especially if 4 coiled and lammed and base plated. Not too surprised that it held. I've heard of one holding a yearling alces alces... Too bad about the misses, but you'll probably catch up to them later.

Greeting Trappers, made it back from a productive week on the line. Got some fur for the stretchers and put a lot of wolf gear in the field. Got an inch of snow but it blew away and ended up in drift form on the trail to Pee Post Pass. [Linked Image]
Ended up catching my bait stealing wolverine in the MB750 I'd left for him last week. Real nice 27 pound male. [Linked Image]
Lots of caribou along the trail this trip. Santa boards his reindeer out on my line. As long as I'm on his good boy list, they are safe.

Here's the South side of some North bound caribou. [Linked Image]
Picked up wolf #9 in a pee post with a grapple and he didn't make it very far. I'd set this post for quite a few years and finally paid off. [Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
The same pack ate this lynx out of one of my traps. First time I'd had that happen in a trap. Had a few windy days and really scoured the hills and canyon both of what little snow we had. [Linked Image]

Hadn't done a track and skag inspection for a while but I could have chosen a little better spot. [Linked Image]
Picked up a few lynx this trip. This is a pretty little female [Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
Got this big ol male in a snare I'd set for a wolverine on the way out this morn. A huge 34 pound male. [Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
Picked up wolf #10 in a snare that I'd set out the first week I was out. A pack of wolves had milled around and one wolf had walked through this spot. It was the only spot I could see to hang a snare and was still worried about the overflow. Well, it worked. 90 pound black female held fast but not choked out. [Linked Image]

Had a full moon while I was out there and the views were spectacular. This is 10 pm. Gives a whole new meaning to moonlight

Still getting pics on the trail cams. This wolf is stealing carcasses off the dead pile on the end of the runway. You wouldn't believe how many times I've missed him. Inches.... [Linked Image]

Dang you are tearing them up this year JR! That is a beauty of a blackie! A bunch of good looking fur! Bites about that one lynx though, those big boys must be really hungry to mess with a angry kitty!

. If those caribou were on your trapline you would have a parking lot for every snowmobile in the delta

Back off the line today. Got a little fur for the stretchers and pulled most of the gear. The freeze thaw thing going on and pretty frustrating. Put 350 miles on and didn't cut one fresh set of wolf tracks. Howled every day with no response until Saturday afternoon. Got the pack to howl off the top of Iowa ridge. Walked up there with the rifle in tow but they went silent. Not sure if they saw me coming or the airplane that circled up there scared them off. Nice day for a walk anyway. [Linked Image]

Last week the sleds kept wanting to lead the way on the ice and when I flipped it over this is what I found [Linked Image]
Pulled the stubs out and made a new pair of skags. These conditions are a bit hard on equipment [Linked Image]
Picked up an 87# gray female in a snare coming out of sheep country. Took her for a walk or maybe a slide down the creek. [Linked Image]
Picked up a few more lynx this trip. Guess I should have placed a little more gear out this year. Saw quite a bit of wolverine and lynx sign, seed for next season. [Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
Lots of overflow but really not menacing [Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
Trail conditions are not improving but I keep hitting it with the groomer. My groomer really needs some attention after the abuse I've put it through [Linked Image]
