It's my understanding pork is not very high on coyotes preference but I've heard that pork liver works great as bait I would think the brains would be good also. As far as the honey I've heard it works in bait but I don't have any first hand experience using it. Good luck and let us know how it works for you.

A bit of honey added to some lures and baits can be quite attractive.

I do thank you for that. Snared another hog last night, so am covered up with pork. I think I will put some in bait solution fresh and see how it does. As many hogs as we have I would think that would be high on the list of foods . Easyer to catch than a deer.

There is an episode of Trapping Inc. with a guy using dead pigs for large snaring bait stations up in Canada. He was doing very well. Also, when I put pork cuttings out in front of a trail cam here in KY the canines and coons are all over it.

O.L. Butcher only used white honey in one of his fox lure recipes, wouldn't use buckwheat, not sure why just passing a little tidbit from a man who knew.

Coyotes are used to eating lots of pork in east Texas and all of Texas as far as that goes. You can cut it up in cubes, put it in a zip lock bag, freeze it and pull it out the night before.
You can add whatever you want, but you don't need to add anything.
