How many people wear gloves while snaring for coyotes?

I do, just a pair of cloth gloves, probably not necessary however.

Bare hands for me. If it’s too cold, I might wear a pair of those nitrile coated gloves.

Bare hands for me also. Keep it simple and just get in, set and get out as quickly as possible. Your body sheds off much more scent than you leave with bare hands and will generally dissipate in a day or so.

I like unlined leather gloves. If it's cold i wear brown jerseys under them. Not for scent control but to protect my hands, so I don't get poked with frayed cables and thorns or get blood and stink on my hands.

I set snares barehands.
I never handle snares same day when laying bait.
I will lay bait at jackpots for a few days,then when setting up snares I handle no bait the day I'm setting.Either that or I will set up the snares then start baiting up the jackpot a few days later.This is the usual way I do it.Some guys like to pre bait,I prefer to have snares ready from day1.
I handle bait all the time when checking snares.Once my snares are set up for the season I rarely set anymore at a jackpot.I just remove fur during the season.
If I roll into new territory and want to set up some new jackpots,or trail snares I will handle no bait the day I'm setting.
I always handle bait with gloves,and if I have to re-open knocked down snares I make sure I do not induce unwanted scent like bait at the snare site either from my hands or feet from walking thru the baitpile.Sometimes this means leaving them until the next visit.

I do not believe the smell on my hands are going to be any stronger than the smells coming off my body or out my nose and mouth. If I am breathing I am leaving scent. If it is cold I wear gloves.

I wear whatever gloves I got on me at the time but only to protect my hands even if they may have handle a critter in a ft hold 50 yrds back I pay no attention to scent control imo I think scent control way over rated

I don't smoke or handle gas or bait, so my hands are fairly clean, somewhat.
I've rubbed them on cedar boughs, since I trap in a good many cedar thickets.
I don't think human scent last long on a strand of steel cable anyway.
Real bitter cold, yeah, may have a pair of canvas or cloth gloves on, but otherwise don't use them.

If you're a ground blind or still hunter and have deer, elk, etc. coming in close (5yds or less) downwind from you on a regular basis, then you've got a good system to apply to trapping and snaring. I'm not talking scent suits, ozonics, or other gimmicks, but just clean practices in clothes and person. Deer and other prey specie animals are on high alert for predators and if you can pass their nose while being in the same area as they are, how much better will it be when you've set your equipment and leave. Keeping human scent from happening is a loosing battle, but keeping it to a tolerable level is possible. Tolerable meaning at a minimum that an animal will still function in the way we want it too and not turn itself inside out before running off to the next farm. Utilizing any fragrant plants like cedar boughs or plain grass by rubbing these on your gloves or stepping in cow patties between sets is more realistic than walking around like a giant condominium. Staying clean (regular showers, clean clothes, etc.), keeping scents that don't fit the location like gas or perfume, and having set construction as quick as terrain features will allow will go father to put pelts on the stretcher.
