bobcats rip with there claws. if you have on lots of clothes where they get you, you won't need sewed up. coyotes can break beef bones by biting them. they wont just nip either. every coyote bite gets bruised like that so far as I know.

Good time to remind folks about getting Pre-exposure Rabies shots.

Closest I've came a coyote took a chunk out of my hip boots. I've got ALOT of respect for their power and agility. I've never been bitten, pray I never do.. Some yotes are very aggressive , most aren't.

I actually think i have been luck y to only have been biten twice in 30 years Think about handling thounds of coyote. Over a period of 30 years. In febuary almost got biten again. Proprerty manager went to pull out landowner. Saw coyote in trap about 8 pm. Shot it between the eyes. Told me. Next morning. I saw it. Went to pick up the dead coyote. Then it came back to life. Wasnt dead Shot was off center. Cant believe it was still alive

Steel - I want to make sure that I understand this.
Did you take that photo today? is the photo of the same bite from last August? That still looks terrible!
What have you done to prevent infection and promote healing? Did you get post-bite rabies shots? Did you have pre-bite rabies shots?
What did a doctor do for that bite?
Be careful to not get another. Ouch!

Hey my friend, I am glad it has healed so well. I was worried that it still looked like that. Looking at the overall score you are way ahead of the coyotes!

A friend caught a coyote this past fall and some tree hugging good Samaritan decided he could release it. Long story short.. he was bit on the face, arm and hand and was given a citation by the DEC for interfering with a legally licenced trapper. The guy actually though my friend should be charged!!
I like it!
