I have seen demos by one of the canadian auction outfits where they used staples and an electric staple gun to staple the hide on the boards, then used a scotch fur comb to pull the staples out. they could pull them all out in a matter of seconds. All I can say is try it, see if you like it.

Boards all the way. I can do two beaver on one board. It would be tough to do that on a hoop. So I tink I can store 20 boards eaiser then storing 40 hoops. And hoops cost about $90.00 a doz and If they have to be shipped It's going to be alot more. I'm not sure about drying time I can dry a beaver In 3 days on a board, never tried a hoop. It's very important to get all the size you can and that Is better done on a board. And as you can see if you use hoops you will have to either place small boards over the leg holes to close them or sew them closed. 9/16" staples and a fur comb will get the job done In a hurry. All the proffesional fur handlers around here use wood there must be a reason.
