They may have received a load at the higher price while the other station was selling it at the price previously paid. But I suspect that was not the case.

The gas station in goffs california on old 66 is usually double what it is other places.......ive always put in at least 5 gallons to make sure i dont have to walk in the desert..
The only place you find free cheese is in a mousetrap !

That's how it works around here. The station's around me don't change their price until they get another load. Gouging is when they raise it while still selling gas they bought at an old, lower price. I'm sure you are right in the fact some stations operate that way, mainly larger chain stations but the one-off mom and pop type stations normally operate the way ours do.

I think if I were that station manager I would have lowered my price and told the mayor pound sand Yes, that doesn't seem right, that's why they have Police to control Traffic.
