So I've seen these are being used by plenty of trappers on this site. Most are brown (I've seen green too), What are the brand of these boxes and where does someone pickup a dozen or so? Thanks Griz

Anyone come up with a good way to cut notches in these?. Jig saw and tin snips do not work that well for me.

Limb lopping shear, blade and anvil type. Then a sharp fillet knife use the lopper to cut the ring and back as far as jaws will reach then finish the slot with the knife worked very quickly and easy I did three dzn in about a half hour.

Anyone come up with a good way to cut notches in these?. . I have used a Sawzall with fine teeth or I've heated a 3/8" rod and burn the notches into a bucket

How do you stabilize that trap?
I'd use a 110 wedge like you'd use for muskrats

Good for you. Woods a natural material and biodegradable whereas plastic ??????????????????????

I just made some wood one's, couldn't bring myself to pay the money that they wanted for the plastic ones. Thanks Griz I have had good luck picking them up in the ditches after the plow rips them off mailboxes. I also contacted the local paper years ago and hauled away the damaged ones. I have over 100 so I haven't looked for any more in years.
I have nothing clever to put here.
