Does anybody do both, or either? I volunteer at my grand kids grade school library three days a week and I sure do like Limburger cheese. I just made a Limburger cheese spread using Cream Cheese mixed with Limburger and Garlic. Man it's good.
My name ain't Keith

Long time ago I went to a grocery store on sample day.
I was asked if I wanted to try some wine and cheese. I said sure.
Ate the cheese. About died.
Hurried and drank the wine to get the cheese taste out of my mouth. Mistake!!
It was worse then the cheese.
The wine. No idea but bad.
Cheese? Smoked Limburger! Totally inedible.
If you can eat the stuff, road kill is no problem for you!

I put some on a radiator in my high school, one January. They had to shut the radiator down for the day, let I cool and scrub it down... they cancel classes in that room 2 days. They never did find out who did it and thank God the statute of limitations has run out now. That was 62 years ago. The 2 later they tore the building down. I don't think there was any connection though. Garry-

I kind of like Limburger and yes I volunteer mainly 4-H and Project Appleseed some at the kids school but I have done some time in , scouts church , food bank and homeless shelter
the only place that makes Limburger in the USA is in Monroe WI.
Limburger and red onion on rye , some braunschwieger is a good addition.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Lol I eat that and aged brick on the regular. Good stuff. My 4 year old like to eat liverwurst and Limburger Samiches as he calls them. We're doing something right. My 12 year old loves that also. If only I could get her to eat pickled herring with me now.

I am embarrassed to say that I bought some limburger cheese at an Amish store, took it home, unwrapped the foil, smelled it, rewrapped it and left it in the fridge, at the back of the cheese drawer for about 6 months and then threw it away.
I am an adventurous eater, but the smell of the limburger totally killed any desire I had to eat it. I have eaten lots of other very strong flavored cheeses, including one very smelly, blue cheese like cheese, that was wrapped in oak leaves. That cheese was strong enough, that I only could eat a small sliver at a time, but I did finish it. Limburger smelled like some terrible forgotten mess, that I would have to clean up with lots of bleach. I guess if I felt like puking, I would go buy some more limburger and eat it.
