Coast here, too. Throws a beam for a LONG ways and you can pick up eye reflections really far out in a field. I bought a few at home depot and didnt pay much for them. Last forever. Jim

I have great night vision, and only use small lights that clip on the bill of my hat. To much light is distracting to me. I carry a small flashlight in my pocket for backup.
Everything the left touches it destroys

Fenix brand headlamps and flashlights. Lost my first one in the woods, found it a year later on a heavily used game trail. Turned right on, battery ran a normal amount of time like I charged it that morning. Awesome products. Very bright. Rechargeable batteries save tons on money.
